Since 2009, Give Out Day is the only national LGBTQ+ giving day designed to support the work of nonprofits that center LGBTQ+ communities. Since 2009, the UCCS LGBTQ+ Resource Center has excelled at being able to create safer spaces for LGBTQ+ students and allies, contribute to a vibrant campus community, and expand services to better support all learners.

Funding raised during this campaign will go towards “Pride Week” hosted annually in April. While national LGBTQ+ Pride Month officially happens during the summer in June and LGBTQ+ History Month is in October, our Mountain Lions made it clear: we want to celebrate together while campus is actually in session! So, the UCCS LGBTQ+ Resource Center has made it an annual spring tradition since the late 2010s!

Pride Week is a week-long series of events designed to celebrate, build community, and provide education on the LGBTQ+ community. We bring keynote speakers, host creative workshops, host a resource fair or health clinic, and close out the week with Pride Prom!
